Grande trionfo per i Foo Fighters alla cinquantaquattresima edizione dei Grammy Awards. 

La band di Dave Grohl è stata premiata con ben 5 Grammys:  Best long form music video per Back and forth, Best Hard Rock/Metal Performance per White limo, dall’album Wasting light, Best Rock Song per Walk, sempre da Wasting light, Best Rock Album e Best rock performance per Walk, da Wasting light.

Oltre ai Foo Fighters è grande successo anche per Adele, premiata con 6 statuette.

Durante la serata, non sono mancati omaggi a Whitney Houston, scomparsa a Los Angeles solo poche ore prima della premiazione, e Etta James, mentre grande entusiasmo hanno raccolto le esibizioni dal vivo di Beach Boys, Paul McCartney e della stessa Adele, tornata a cantare dal vivo dopo l’operazione alle corde vocali subita lo scorso mese di novembre.
